LEGISLATIVE AND PRACTICAL CHALLENGES TO FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION IN GEORGIA AND THEIR SOLUTION BASED ON INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
16 June, 2021On June 16, 2021, "Rights Georgia" published a research report on Legislative and Practical Challenges to Freedom of Expression in Georgia and their Solution Based on International Standards.
This research reveals the root causes of obstacles getting in the way of enjoyment of freedom of expression and offers appropriate authorities recommendations on how to mend legal framework and practice-related flaws regarding the following issues:
I. Hate speech;
II. Freedom of expression and conflicting values;
III. Public disclosure of private life-depicting videos;
IV. Labor rights of journalists.
