Welcome to the Country of Origin Information (COI) Portal. Please note that the portal is available in the Georgian language only.
The portal is intended for specialists working on the protection of the rights of asylum seekers, refugees, or humanitarian status holders in Georgia, as well as for researchers, decision-makers, lawyers, judges, and other actors involved in asylum procedures.
The portal was developed within the framework of the project “Protecting and Empowering Refugees, Asylum Seekers, and Humanitarian Status Holders in Georgia”, implemented by Rights Georgia with the financial support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The portal contains information on the following countries: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Ghana, Egypt, Iraq, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Turkey, Japan, Jordan, India, Yemen, Iran, Kuwait, Cameroon, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Somalia, Tanzania, and Tajikistan.
The information provided on the portal has been prepared using publicly available sources and/or information accessible to Rights Georgia at the time, processed with utmost care within limited timeframes. The documents presented are not exhaustive, conclusive, or decisive for making international protection decisions. The absence of an event, person, or organisation from the provided information does not imply that the event did not occur or that the person or organisation does not exist.
