Khatia Rekhviashvili joined the Rights Georgia team in November 2023.
Before starting her work at Rights Georgia, Khatia worked at the Personal Data Protection Service in the Department of International Relations, Analytics, and Strategic Development as a research analyst. Her main duties included preparing research and analytical documents, contributing to the development of the service’s reports, and conducting expertise on agreements/treaties to be signed between Georgia and foreign states.
From 2020 to 2022, Khatia worked at the State Inspector’s Service in the Department of International Relations, Analytics, and Strategic Development as a research analyst. Her responsibilities included drafting guidelines, analytical documents, and recommendations; conducting research; and collecting and analyzing statistical data.
From 2016 to 2020, Khatia held the position of senior specialist in the Analytical Department of the Ministry of Justice. Her work involved supporting the activities of interagency reform councils, participating in the preparation and monitoring of strategic documents (sectoral strategies and action plans), developing legislative drafts and conducting legal analysis of acts, and preparing reform concepts.
Khatia graduated from Tbilisi State University’s Faculty of Law, earning both bachelor's and master's degrees. She has participated in numerous short- and long-term training programs both in Georgia and abroad. At various times, she completed internships at the Ministry of Justice, the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association, the Georgian Bar Association, and the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
