Young People from the Kakheti Region Held an Informational Meeting on Local Issues
10 October, 2025
At the Akhalsopeli Youth Center, young people from Kvareli Municipality organized an informational meeting to discuss local issues that are important and relevant to them.
Participants shared challenges faced in their multi-ethnic communities and discussed possible solutions. Among the key topics were youth development opportunities, challenges related to human rights and equality, access to social services, and issues connected to local infrastructure and public utilities.
This was the final discussion in a series of informational meetings held for young people from Kvareli and Lagodekhi municipalities, which included five in-person and five online sessions.
The informational meetings were organized through the joint efforts of Rights Georgia, the Leliani Adult Education Center, and the Akhalsopeli Youth Center. The initiative was financially supported by the European Union (EU) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UN OHCHR).
This collaboration aims to promote civic engagement among young people in the Kakheti region, raise awareness of human rights at the local level, and support the implementation of youth-led initiatives.
