Dimitri Khachidze is working as a lawyer at Rights Georgia (formerly “Article 42 of the Constitution”) since 2001. From 2009 to 2010, he served as the Parliamentary Secretary of “Article 42 of the Constitution,” and from 2015 to 2017, he was the Chairperson of the Board.
Dimitri Khachidze is a founding member of the Georgian Bar Association. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Association’s Rehabilitation Commission. From 2009 to 2010, Dimitri was a member of the State Constitutional Commission of Georgia, and from 2009 to 2011, he served as a legal expert on the Georgian Public Broadcaster’s program “Our Law.”
In 2007, he participated in the Prosecutor’s Office reform project supported by the British Council, conducting training for prosecutors on the principles of the new Criminal Procedure Code. He is the author of the 2004 brochure “Plea Bargaining,” published for practicing lawyers.
From 1996 to 2001, he studied at the Faculty of Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
He speaks Georgian, English, and Russian.
